The beach is about a 10-minute walk from Atami Station, and a sandy beach stretches out before your eyes.

Atami is located near Tokyo in Shizuoka Prefecture, so it takes about an hour and a half to get there from Tokyo on the JR Tokaido Line.
Walk from the station through the shopping district and down the hill.
On the way, there is a famous pudding shop among the locals.
It is delicious and you should try it.
And when you reach the bottom of the slope, a large ocean spreads out before you.
Between the beach and the road are many large palm trees, and the swaying of the palm trees in the sea breeze is a treat for both the ears and the eyes.

In summer, it is famous as a beach, and many people swim in the sea.
The ocean is clean, and if you are lucky, you can even spot fish swimming up to the shallows.
There are various people putting up parasols and tents.
The ocean is very fun to float and drift on floats because there are a few waves.
Drifting on the cold sea under the strong heat of the sun, it is pleasant to feel the hustle and bustle gradually fade away.
On summer nights, you can also see the sparkling, lively, and beautiful sea with people setting off fireworks.
For those who want to relax, long autumn nights
If you want to relax, the best time to do so is from evening to night around autumn.
As I watch the moon shift on the surface of the water and listen to the sound of the waves, a slightly chilly night breeze blows in.
It's a big place and it's hard to see people when it's off season.
Lying on the sandy beach and star gazing is also recommended.
I feel like my mind is being purified.
There are not many cars passing by, so you can be surrounded by the sound of the waves all around you.

The park is located next to the boat landing and has a path long enough to take a walk.

Earlier I recommended the sea at night in autumn, but I also recommend the sea in the morning in winter.
Shizuoka Prefecture is one of the warmest prefectures in Japan, but the sea breezes in winter are still cold enough to cut you to the bone.
However, although the wind is cold, the temperature is not that cold, so it is not so cold that you freeze to the core.
The reason why I recommend the sea on a cold winter morning is because there are things you can only see at that time of the year.
In winter, stay at a hot spring inn and enjoy the sunrise.
In winter, the days are short and the sun is not very high even at about 6:00 AM.
The recommendation here is to go to the beach before 6:00 a.m. to watch the sunrise.
