Tired of the hustle and bustle of the city, I was working in Tokyo at the time, but when my child was born, I decided to move to Shizuoka Prefecture in search of a place rich in nature and easy to raise children.
At first, it took me a while to get used to living surrounded by nature, but now I am fascinated by its beauty and enjoy the quiet life.
On my daily walks, I enjoy the changing seasons and the beautiful scenery of the mountains.
New Life in Shizuoka
Since then we have built a house in Shizuoka Prefecture, where we live a leisurely life, interacting with the locals.
Living in the city, I was often stressed because I had little access to nature, but after moving to Shizuoka Prefecture, I was able to experience the beauty of nature, which calmed me down.

We enjoy mountain climbing, camping and fishing as a family.
Shizuoka Prefecture is also a center of Japanese tea production, and there are many delicious teas to be had.

I am able to enjoy nature and hot springs on weekends,

Shizuoka Prefecture is well served by transportation, and the Shinkansen bullet train provides excellent access to Tokyo.
We sometimes go out to Tokyo or Yokohama on weekends.
Shizuoka Prefecture is also a tourist destination, so many tourists may come to the area.
Therefore, there are many local restaurants and souvenir shops.
You can also interact with the locals.
Community Relations
When I moved to Shizuoka Prefecture, I was anxious about being in a new place for the first time.

Shizuoka Prefecture is also a logistics hub and has good transportation access, which I thought made for a favorable work environment.
Food Culture of Shizuoka Prefecture
My fascination with the culinary culture of Shizuoka Prefecture was also a factor in my decision to move there.
Shizuoka Prefecture is rich in fresh seafood, tea, and a variety of local produce, including green tea.
And with delicious sake, we were very happy to learn about the culture of Shizuoka Prefecture while enjoying the food and drinks.
Moving to Shizuoka Prefecture has allowed me to enjoy a variety of delicious foods.
I look forward to every meal at the restaurants that the locals tell me about because they are tasty and cosy.
