This time we would like to introduce Wacha, an Oobanyaki store located in Yoshizawa, Kikugawa City, Shizuoka Prefecture.

This is the first store in Kikugawa City specializing in oobanyaki takeout, and as its name "Wacha" suggests, you can easily enjoy Japanese sweets here.

Wacha is a place where you can take a breather while looking at the tea fields spread out before you.

Next to the store, there are chairs and tables where you can enjoy the great outdoors and the delicious tea of the tea house.

There are five flavors of oobanyaki, and the royal red bean paste and chocolate are also popular!

Wacha offers five types of oobanyaki.

The royal road, tsubu-an and koshi-an, are made from the finest azuki beans from Tokachi, Hokkaido, and have a very good flavor.

In addition to cream and chocolate, there is also a curry flavor and a matcha (powdered green tea) flavor kneaded with local Kikugawa tea, available in limited quantities.

The oobanyaki crust is soft and tasty, and the particular ingredients and careful preparation have earned it a reputation as a popular souvenir and gift.
